Please note that while R-values are determined in controlled laboratory conditions, real-world thermal performance can be influenced by external variables such as ground temperature, air moisture, wind chill, and individual metabolic rates. For maximum protection and insulation during extreme sub-zero conditions, we recommend pairing the Torv 7 Lite with a thin closed-cell foam mat underneath.

Dual purpose pump sack & compact storage
The Torv 7 Lite’s multi-functional stuff sack doubles as an efficient pump sack, streamlining setup while keeping your total pack weight down to just 600 g. Using it is intuitive and effortless: simply connect the sack’s valve opening to the pad’s inflation port, roll down the top to capture air, and gently compress to fill the pad. In just a few quick rolls, your pad is fully inflated to its plush 11 cm height—all while completely preventing moisture from your breath from entering the interior. When it’s time to break camp, the same sack neatly compresses the pad down to its compact 25 x 10 x 10 cm pack size for maximum pack efficiency.

Stremlined dual function valve
Gone are the days of juggling multiple valves or complex mechanisms to set up your sleeping pad. The Torv 7 Lite features a single, cleverly engineered dual function valve that handles both inflation and deflation with effortless precision.

When set to “inflate,” the integrated one-way mechanism allows air to flow freely into the pad while preventing it from escaping, ensuring every stroke from your pump sack counts and maintaining pressure even if you take a break. When it’s time to break camp, simply switch to “deflate” to open the main port wide, allowing air to flush out instantly for fast, effortless packing down to its compact 25 x 10 x 10 cm size.

This single-valve approach not only saves crucial setup time in cold weather, but also reduces weight and eliminates unnecessary failure points for a lighter, more reliable system in the wild.

Inflation Made Simple

1. Open the Valve: Start by removing the top cap on the Torv 7 LIte’s valve.
2. Attach the Stuffsack: Secure the stuffsack’s valve opening to the pad’s inflation port, ensuring there’s a snug fit.
3. Fill the Sack with Air: Open the sack widely, capture some air and give a small, gently, quick blow into it. This helps capture a generous pocket of air in just a few seconds. It is not about collecting your own breath. It is about your breath gently pushing the surrounded air into the bag
4. Transfer the Air: Roll the top of the sack down or press it gently to push the collected air into the sleeping pad.
5. Repeat: Continue this process. Inflate the sack with air, seal the top, and press, until the pad reaches your desired firmness.

Remember to leave a bit of extra space in case the air inside expands when temperatures rise. 

Quick and Easy Deflation
To deflate the Torv 7 LIte, simply remove the bottom cap on the valve, which opens it wide and allows air to escape rapidly. Start rolling or folding the pad from the opposite end of the valve, pushing out any trapped air as you go. Once all air is out, replace the cap and tuck the pad neatly into its stuffsack.

Smart inflation and temperature awareness
When you head into the mountains, remember that temperature changes can significantly affect the air pressure inside your Torv 7 LIte. In cold conditions, air contracts and causes the pad to soften, sometimes leading people to mistakenly believe there’s a leak. On the flip side, if the air inside heats up, say, during a sunny afternoon, it expands, making the pad feel tighter. An overinflated pad can sustain damage if left to expand further in the sun or in warmer conditions. To avoid unnecessary strain and ensure a long lifespan, it’s best to inflate the pad to a comfortable firmness, then fine-tune as the temperature fluctuates. Keep it firm enough for support, but leave a little room for inevitable expansion.
